A birthday bash was held at Bounce U in Murfreesboro for Owen Wyatt Cripps’ third year celebration. Many family and friends attended. The Bounce U has a two room bounce set up where the group rotates in and out. It is a good place to keep a party group together without merging with others. The group really enjoyed this event and at the lunch hour everyone was served pizza, cupcakes, and a drink. We send our love and birthday wishes to Owen. Owen’s parents are Matt and Melody Cripps of Murfreesboro.
Our family joined together last Sunday at the home of Todd and Michele Kent to celebrate Elizabeth (16) and Olivia (13) Miller’s birthday. Michele grilled out hamburgers, chicken, and hot dogs and served two salads for the lunch meal. Cake and pie was enjoyed by all in the afternoon. The girls enjoyed opening their cards and gifts. We enjoyed participating in the family fun. Those attending were the following: Louise Frazier, Ricky and Kathy Hendrix, Jared and Jennifer Hendrix, (Maggie and Sawyer), David and Monica Reynolds (Levi and Molly), Jimmy and Judy Kimbrell, Jerald and Lisa Cripps, Buddy and Deborah Fuson, Ronnie and Sara Kent, and Kenny Edge.
We look forward to the weather forecast of warmer days ahead. Maybe with warmer temperatures we can see more flowers and vegetables out on our patio. A good canning tomato is the Jet Star. We enjoy the Celebrity for canning our corn-black bean salsa, and the German Pink is good just to eat.
Wayne (Buddy) and Deborah Fuson have returned to their home in Arkansas after a two week stay with Louise Frazier. They visited their son and daughter in law, Jeff and Meg Fuson, in Paris, TN on their way home. It was good to have them home for this extended visit. We look forward to them coming back in July.
It is good to see some construction starting on Jordan and Nicole Cripps’ house. They have planned a renovation with an additional room being added onto their existed home. They have a wonderful view of the Dry Creek Valley from their front porch. We hope they enjoy this renovation for years to come.
Garry Mullican went to the Sara Cannon Center at Centennial to see and talk with Dr. Hunt on Monday. Get well wishes go out to Russell Estes. We send love and prayers to these dear friends.
Our neighbor Nora Harvey has returned home after a nine day stay with classmates and friends in Washington DC. Nora and her granddaughter, Alma Rose, visited with Louise Frazier and family on Thursday.
It was good to hear from Helen Burt this week. She is home recovering from her recent surgery.
Our community extends sincere sympathy to the families of Linda Henson, Butch Snow, and Grace Parsley. May God’s love and mercy sustain their dear families in the days ahead.
Thank you to Mrs. JoDean Redmon for sending us some of her fresh eggs. We know she reads the Review every week, and we appreciate her kind words concerning the Dry Creek Flashes.
Looking ahead at the first of May, Dry Creek Baptist Church will be celebrating Mother’s Day on May 8th.
