A slow rain is falling in the valley today.

We say hello to Mrs. Nonnie Tramel in NHC, Smithville. She had a birthday on March 26.

Bro. Donald Owens visited her on Wednesday. Send Mrs. Nonnie a card.

Happy birthday wishes to our dear neighbor and friend Jeanette France. She enjoyed a special birthday dinner with family last Tuesday.

One of the finest couples, Anne and Ricky Taylor of Oak Ridge are on vacation this year, they are on a cruise. We are so happy for them.

We say hello Anne and Ricky and we send our love and best wishes for you to have a good cruise and a wonderful vacation. This couple do so much for other people. This is much deserved for them.

Wow! To the Arkansas "Hoop" who won over Seton Hall in Men’s Basketball.

Spring follows winter. We had a few Robins in our yard this week. A sure sign that spring is near.

We are ready for planting a garden.

Congratulations to Hunter Robinson, Salutatorian of the Class of 2017, DCHS.

We say hello to Georgia Hawker. We miss you in the valley. We pray for you to be better each day. God bless you.

Hello to Joyce Mullinax in Smithville. Joyce is a school teacher friend. Hope you are feeling good today. Call me Joyce and let me hear from you. I love and care about you.

We enjoy the basketball games Duke and North Carolina, Tennessee, and Middle Tennessee are my favorites.

All of my H.S class and Sunday school class are gone but me.

My DCHS girls basketball players are gone but me. No school buses. We walked to school. Glad we did. To name a few, Louise Lenttz, Josephine Bain, Olga TIttsworth Melcaf, Bill Hill Young, Maggie Bryant, Anita Puckett Fedak, and Bessie Cantrell Hendrixson. We played in 34, 35, and 36, 3 court forwards, side, centers, guards. Coach Jim Fitts and Claude Vickers. I was little but I know I helped win a few games for DCHS. We still love the game.

On Good Friday, April 14 will be the adults out to eat at Golden Corral in Cookeville. Easter is April 16. Thanks to Bobbie Young on her information about the McGinnnes family.

In the beginning was the word, and the word was God. (John 14).
