Rain sounds nice on our tin roof
From Where I Stand

The rain on our tin roof tonight sounds good here on the mountain as finally several rain chances are back in the forecast the next few days for a lot of us. We sure need some rain as we were behind a few inches for the month of May. It has been hot and dry as of late but temperatures are to back off some into the eighties when the cold front with the rain gets here. Farmers and gardeners needing the welcome rainfall also.

I feel so sorry for those people in Houston, Texas with all the flooding and loss of life that has been going on there. There seems to be no letup in the sight for them with more rain being predicted. Their lives have been turned upside down as everything is flooded and so many homes basically destroyed. Keep them in your prayers!

Looks like I spoke too soon about the hummingbirds not being around here as a bunch of them have turned up this week. Going to have to keep the feeders stocked as there are so many hummers to take care of. They are not too skittish when I’m around looking at my flowers. I guess they can sense I wouldn’t hurt them.

Neighbor Brenda Underwood stopping in Wednesday evening. She and the family are doing well.

Let’s keep the following people in prayer: The family of Lillian Taylor, Carlon and Mai Nell Melton, Charlie Mai Daniel, Denise Stanton, Ruth Brown, and Fay Pitts.

Praise up the Lord. Praise God in His sanctuary: praise Him in the Firmament of His power.

Praise Him for His mighty acts: praise Him according to His excellent greatness. Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord. Psalms: 150: 1-2,6
