The following is a true story. About a week ago my nephew, Robin Driver, told my sister, Charlotte and me not to plan anything for the upcoming weekend. He implied he was taking us on a surprise trip. So Friday afternoon arrived and up drove Robin. We got in his car with our bags. Away we went. He took us to a lake house in Blue Water Bay area. We out out with our bags and a box of food.

It was a rest and relaxation trip weekend with no children. We were told to relax and not worry about anything. So we did. There was a hot tub but I didn’t bring my bathing suit. Off he went! No car for us. We explored the lovely lake home, fixed our supper, looked at TV and finally went to bed early. We slept well until the next morning. We went for a walk after breakfast. He came back to check on us. We made several calls to girlfriends, polished our nails, washed our hair and sat around watching TV. I kept thinking if all the things I need to do at home. We read magazines and did lots of reminiscing. We watched the boats running up and down the lake, watched more TV and napped.

Sunday morning arrived and I missed church. We watched Joel Osteen on TV. That was our Sunday service. By Sunday afternoon, we were ready to come home.

Robin arrived and we shared our lunch with him. All in all it was a relaxing weekend.

The children were glad to see us we came home. We appreciate Robin helping us to relax last weekend.
