Belated Happy New Year!

Hope everyone enjoyed and survived the Christmas season. Now the frigid temperature has all of us shivering.

The Driver Day gathered at the Delmonico wing in Baxter for their annual Christmas party. There were about 30 present. They enjoyed a dinner and singing Christmas carols while some of the Driver men played musical instruments.

The school children were allowed several extra days of vacation during the cold weather.

Our prayers go out to 12 year old Caden Ervins, grandson of Ella Roark who has been taking treatment at Vanderbilt Hospital.

Sympathy to Jean Harney who lost her beloved husband Mark during the season.

Get well wishes to those with the flu and other illnesses. Some are Oleta Stanton, Lois Farwell Laird Barnard, Hooper Judkins, Reba Prineo, Vicky Burton, Dallas Johnson, Kelly Vaughn, Charmaine Mitchell, Doyle Smith, Bertha McBride and Jane Eller.

Happy Birthday the first part of January to Jeane Pettis, Danny Poss, Myra Hale, Jennifer Hatfield, Marshal Evins, Martha Cooper, Ettie Beth Evins, Larry Tatum and Kiana Driver.

Now, it’s back to school and work if the weather allows it.
