I just witnessed the ‘rare’ total eclipse. Yes, it was interesting; yes, it was awesome; and, yes, it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Thousands of people traveled to places along the path of ‘totality’ – that two and a half minutes of total darkness, which is was what amazes me most.

I heard people yelling. I heard fireworks going off. There was zero traffic and people everywhere looking up at the sky.  

And all I could think about is the glorious day of our Lord’s appearing. 

People have been making preparations for the eclipse for years and never make preparations for a home in heaven. They plan their route, hotel and where exactly to view this wonderful phenomenon but never once recognize who created it.  

Believe it or not, there is coming a day when Christ will return. Even if we don’t see His appearing in our lifetime, we will have a day where we will see Him face to face.  

The eclipse is over, and the eclipse of our life approaches fast. Make your preparations ready for Christ before the path of totality takes you to your grave.
