SMITHVILLE, TN – Three students from Tennessee Tech University will present their senior capstone exhibitions at the Appalachian Center for Craft in Smithville. The exhibition will take place in the Hilltop Gallery April 4 - 17, with a reception on April 13, 4:30 - 6:30 p.m.

Artists Bridget Graessle, Beau Fedewa and April Hitchcock will be presenting their senior capstone exhibition projects for the Bachelor of Science in Studio Arts Degree in the School of Art, Craft & Design.

Graessle, a Crossville native, participated in several of the ACC’s outreach programs while attending Cumberland County High School. It was then that she decided that Tech was where she wanted to go to college.

“I was, and still am, very impressed by their fine arts program, especially the courses offered at the ACC,” Graessle said. “My favorite thing about Tech is the community that we have within the fine arts programs, specifically The School of Art, Craft & Design.”

Hitchcock, a Murfreesboro native, decided to come to Tech because her mom is an alumna, and she was impressed with the arts programs. After graduation she plans to work in the design field and someday own her own business.

This free exhibition will demonstrate the extensive efforts and skills the students have gained while attending the program.

Gallery hours are Monday - Saturday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., and Sunday Noon to 5 p.m. The ACC is located at 1560 Craft Center Drive, Smithville, Tennessee.
