Law enforcement worked the scene of a two-car crash last week that left two people injured.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, at 4:37 pm, on Wednesday, October 11, a 2021 Kia Forte driven by 19-year-old McKenzie Brown was traveling north on New Home Road, when it crossed the double yellow line in front of 654 New Home Road, and sideswiped a 2016 Kia Sedona driven by 63-year-old Debra S. Crawford.
Both Brown and Crawford were transported to the hospital by DeKalb EMS. Passengers in Crawford’s vehicle, 85-year-old Claudine Crawford, and 59-year-old Randall R. Stanley, were uninjured in the crash.
Brown has been cited for failure to maintain lane of travel.
