Car versus Webb's Pharmacy
webb crash

F.Z. Webb’s and Sons Pharmacy had an exciting Thursday morning when a local motorist apparently decided the building needed another drive-thru entrance. The vehicle plowed over the sidewalk, into the brick wall and through the large windows of the business on South Congress Boulevard.

Authorities say that 84-year-old Robert Terry Little, Jr. of Smithville was pulling up to the building to park in a 2015 Toyota Camry, when he accidentally hit the accelerator rather than the brake. The car entered the building in what is considered the waiting area of the pharmacy, but luckily no one was in the area at the time of the crash.

The Smithville Fire Department, Smithville Police, and a unit with DeKalb EMS was dispatched to the scene, though no injuries were reported.
