City releases arrest report

Several citations and arrest were made by city police over the past couple of weeks. Included in the city police arrest report:

 

Keith O’Brian Jeffries, 52, was cited for Simple Possession.  Police were informed of possible drug activity behind a building on S. Congress Blvd after hours and upon making contact with the subject who was identified as Keith Jeffries, it was found that he had in his possession a needle that was loaded with a substance that field tested positive for Methamphetamine. 

 

Christopher Ronald Cameron, 22, of Liberty was arrested for Driving on Suspended.  Police observed Cameron operating a motor vehicle on the roadway and had prior knowledge of him having a suspended license for accumulation of points.  Cameron was taken into custody without incident.

 

David D Anderson, 49, of Liberty was arrested for Stop/Halt/Frisk, Possession of Schedule V controlled substance, and cited for Driving on Suspended.  Police observed Anderson at the car wash on East Broad St and had prior knowledge of him having active warrants. As the officer was speaking with him he took off running and led police on a short foot pursuit and was arrested a short time later. Anderson had in his possession 69 yellow capsules identified as Gabapentin to which he didn’t have a prescription for. 

 

Edward L Burnes, 56, was arrested for DUI 1st and cited for speeding.  Burns was pulled over for speeding and as the officer approached the vehicle he could smell a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage.  Edward had slurred speech and blood shot eyes.  Edward was asked and consent to field sobriety tasks to which he performed poorly. 

 

Jessie Comer Harris, 39, of Dowelltown was arrested for Criminal Trespassing. Police observed Harris on the property of City Walk Apartments and the officer had informed Harris on 9/20/18 that he was not to be on the property per the Landlord as he, Harris had allegedly made threats to a juvenile on that day.

 

Michael Eugene Lattimore, 36, and Amanda Kay Lattimore 33, were cited for Drug Paraphernalia. Police responded to 530 Miller Road to serve a warrant on a male subject at that residence who had 3 hypodermic needles on his person. Police were informed by Amanda Lattimore that she lived there and due to the paraphernalia found on the male subject, request to search was granted to the officers. Officers found Michael Lattimore in the bathroom and found to be in possession of several hypodermic needles and a spoon used in illegal drug activity. Amanda Lattimore was found to have in her possession several marijuana & meth pipes along with hypodermic needles in her possession.

 

Randall Tittle, 44, was cited for Shoplifting and Simple Possession. Tittle was found in Save-A-Lot restroom after police received a shoplifting call from the Dollar General Store where Tittle was observed taking and putting items down his pants then leaving the store and going into Save-A-Lot.  Found on Tittle’s person was the items taken from Dollar General and 14 tan capsules believed to be Gabapentin and 1 round green pill believed to be Clouazepam to which he didn’t have prescriptions for.

 

Amanda Kay Lattimore, 33, was cited for Simple Possession x 2 and Drug Paraphernalia in the parking lot of 530 Miller Road. While on routine patrol police made contact with a male subject thought to have warrants.  While speaking with him the officer observed a yellow substance in his nostrils.  After checking with Central Dispatch, the male was cleared and released. A female standing in the parking lot with the male subject was found to be Lattimore and she was asked if she had anything illegal on her due to prior knowledge of her using meth. Lattimore handed the officer 2 hypodermic needles and a small baggie which had approximately .1 grams of a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana and 3 white pills which was identified as Gabapentin to which she couldn’t produce a prescription for.

 

Kenny Waymon Dyal Jr., 31, was cited then arrested for Driving on Revoked. Police observed Dyal operating a vehicle on South Congress Blvd and had prior knowledge that his license was revoked due to failure to comply with financial responsibility.  Police performed a traffic stop in Mapco parking lot and cited him for Driving on Revoked. Upon writing Dyal the citation, the officer heard him make a comment to the passenger who had a valid license about him getting back in the driver seat when the officer left. The officer left the traffic stop and the vehicle left with a driver that was valid. The officer then notified his partner about what Dyal had said about driving.  The officer then observed the vehicle drive by him with Dyal driving again at which time the officers stopped the vehicle and placed Dyal into custody for driving on revoke. Dyal was taken to jail for the reasonable likely hood the offense would continue to occur as the second incident occurred about 18 minutes after the first incident.

 

James Cary Hicks Jr., 39, of Liberty was arrested for public intoxication. Police were dispatched to 920 South Mountain Street for a suspicious person behind the trailer. Upon arrival the officer made contact with Hicks who appeared obviously intoxicated. He had slurred speech and was very belligerent. He was asked to stand up and had trouble standing without assistance. Due to his level of intoxication, he was determined to be a danger to himself and the public at large and taken into custody.
