The DCHS Class of 2022 held their Senior Walk last week, touring both Smithville Elementary School and DeKalb West School during a visit. At each school, the hallways were lined with young students who held signs and blew horns celebrating the Class of 2022s achievements.

The walk was held last Thursday, when school teachers and staff joined their students in the celebration. Many of the senior classes’ parents were also on hand to commemorate the event. Pomp and Circumstance played over the intercom system as the seniors walked the hallways where many of them had begun their days in the school system.

The Senior Walk is a way for high school students to return to the elementary campuses where many had once attended. Seniors wore their caps and gowns while marching down the hallways, inspiring
