Kevin Mansfield Curtis, 44, of White Bluff, TN was arrested Dec. 18 and charged with two counts of sale and delivery of a schedule II drug. The arrest comes from an indictment taken out Nov. 24, 2014.

Shawn Edward Soales, 47, of Smithville was arrested Dec. 17 and charge with second offense driving on suspended. He is to appear in court Jan. 21.

Sheriff Patrick Ray said a detective conducted a traffic stop on a green Toyota Camry due to the rear tail lights not functioning properly. Soales, the driver, did not have a valid driver’s license which was suspended out of Alabama in 2012. He has a prior driving on suspended in DeKalb County from 2019.

Josh Wayne Gaw, 41, of Baxter was arrested on Dec. 18 and charged with domestic assault. He is to appear in court Jan. 28.

A sheriff’s department deputy was dispatched to Smithville Highway for a domestic. A female told the deputy that she and her ex-boyfriend, Gaw, were coming home from Baxter when he starting pulling her hair and slapped her. She did have a red area on the left side of her face.
