On August 11, 40-year-old Jackie Marie Goff of Four Seasons Road, Smithville, was arrested for resisting arrest and disorderly conduct, and cited for possession of drug paraphernalia. She is under a $5,000 bond and will appear in court on August 22.
Goff intentionally caused annoyance and alarm to citizens on a public roadway by screaming and cursing at residents outside of their homes. She was also allegedly causing hazardous conditions on the roadway by sitting and running in the road, causing motorists to stop and drive around her.
She allegedly attempted to evade law enforcement and refused to listen to verbal commands to stop. Authorities say the woman continued to resist as deputies attempted to place her in custody, refusing to put her hands behind her back. During a search a glass pipe and a plastic straw, used to ingest meth, was located on her person.
