The woman arrested for a Dowelltown stabbing in October 2024, was sentenced last week in DeKalb Criminal Court.

Christie Dawn Bouldin, 44, pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and was sentenced to five years, suspended to supervised probation. She is also under a restraining order from the victim. The sentence is to run consecutive to any other case she may have, and restitution is to be determined by probation if any. She was given 58 days jail credit.

According to DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department Chief Deputy Brian Williams, on October 11, Bouldin of Wigwam Street, Sparta, was arrested for aggravated assault after deputies responded to South Mill Street in Dowelltown on a report of a stabbing.

Upon arrival the deputies made contact with the male victim, who had numerous stab wounds to his upper body and head. The man identified Bouldin as the aggressor, saying they were in a bedroom when they began arguing. He stated that she then knocked him to the ground, jumped on top of him, and began to stabbed him multiple times with a tire punch.

The victim suffered severe injuries and had to be flown to Vanderbilt Medical Center by a Lifeflight helicopter. Bouldin evaded authorities on Friday, but was arrested the following day.

Also sentenced last week was 27-year-old Keely Jacobs. She pleaded to one count of methamphetamine possession over 0.5 grams with intent to sell or deliver and received an eight-year sentence, all suspended to supervised probation. She was fined $8,000 and given jail credit from September 9 to December 9, 2024.

Shadayda Storm Farris, 29, pleaded guilty to attempting to facilitate identity theft and was sentenced to 11 months - 29 days, all suspended to supervised probation. The sentence is to run concurrently with a Cumberland County TDOC sentence. She was given jail credit from April 28 to July 13, 2024 and from November 6 to December 9, 2024.

Alphonso Dewayne Maynard, 55, pleaded guilty to sale of a schedule II drug and received a 10-year sentence, all suspended to TDOC supervised probation. He was fined $2,000 and given 82 days jail credit.

Shawn Edward Soales, 51, pleaded guilty to methamphetamine possession with intent to sell under 0.5 grams and received a 6-year TDOC sentence suspended to supervised probation. He was fined $2,000. The sentence is to run consecutively with another case against him

Dustin Kane Underhill, 34, pleaded guilty to theft over $10,000 and received a three-year sentence, suspended to supervised probation. The term is to run concurrently with a Rutherford County case. He was given jail credit from July 25 to December 9, 2024.
