Director of Schools Patrick Cripps will be around several more years after the school board opted to extend his contract through 2022 thanks to the high marks he received on his annual assessment.
The board unanimously agreed to the contract extension during their last regular meeting. He will continue with his $90,000 yearly salary as part of the contract after he scored a 4.22 out of a possible six points on his assessment.
The school board members, each of whom separately assessed him, ranked him highest in personal qualities, giving him a 4.50. He was scored at 4.38 at business and finance. His board relationship was ranked at 4.32 and his staff and personal relationships at 4.20.His lowest mark was in strategic planning skills where he received a 3.90.
Cripps will undergo another assessment by the same board next year.
