DCHS Celebrates School Growth
DCHS

The staff at DeKalb County High School held a celebration last week after the school was recognized for its recent academic growth. Teachers and school staff gathered in the school cafeteria last Tuesday afternoon for some cake and other goodies.

“We are celebrating DCHS being named a Level 4 out of 5 school in growth for the 2021-22 school year.” said Supervisor of Instruction Dr. Kathy Bryant. “This means our students had more than expected academic growth from the 2021 year to 2022. We are super proud of that because last year we were coming off of COVID with some students being in school with others being remote and the previous year when we were out of school from March going forward.”

“We are really excited about that growth,” Bryant continued. “We had exceptional growth in Algebra II and English 10 and I think that is what put us over the expected growth for the 2021-22 school year.”
