Who’s been sleeping in my bed? It wasn’t Papa Bear who found Goldilocks sleeping in his bed but instead Smithville Police who found a man lying around in an apartment where he did not live.

The slumbering intruder, Michael Pierre Rose, 34, is charged with criminal trespass after he was found inside a South Fork apartment off Miller Road. Police went to the location after they were told someone was staying without permission in an empty room at the complex.

“The officer found Rose lying on a cot in the back bedroom,” the report reads. “He did not have the consent of the property manager to be there.”

The property manager said it was not the first time they had issues with Rose being on their property without permission.
