Ladet, Cantrell named Mr. and Miss DCHS

DeKalb County High School has chosen this year’s Mr. and Miss DCHS. The distinct honor goes to Ty Ladet and Megan Cantrell.

Ty is the son of the late Tori Haywood. He is a member of the Science Club and a three year member of the football team. He has been awarded wide-receiver of the year and named 1st Team All-Regional.  He has scholarship offers from Sewanee University and Tennessee State University. His plans to graduate early and enroll at TSU in the spring to begin football training. 

Megan is the daughter of Todd and Jenny Cantrell. She has been a member of Beta, FBLA, Climate Club and Literature Club. During high school, she has been a football cheerleader, tennis team, XC team, and a four year member of the Lady Tigers Basketball team. Megan is a member of Indian Creek Baptist Church.  She is also employed at Hidden Harbor Marina.

Megan plans to attend Tennessee Tech and major in Exercise Science after graduation.
