DeKalb Middle School celebrated homecoming the right way, naming Kylee Cantrell as Saints homecoming queen in pre-game ceremonies and then taking to gridiron to claim a blowout win over Smith County.

Cantrell, an eighth grader at DeKalb Middle School, is the daughter of Paul and Michelle Cantrell. She was joined in her court of Saints by eighth grade attendants Morgan Walker, daughter of Jason and Renee Walker; and Carlee West, daughter of D.J. and Megan Stewart.

The seventh grade attendants were Cadee Griffith, daughter of Chris and Jennifer Griffith; and Elaina Turner, daughter of Shane and Regina Turner.

From DeKalb West seventh grade attendants were Kayleigh Overstreet, daughter of Jennifer Johnson and the late Billy Overstreet. The DeKalb West eighth grade attendant was Aly Griffith, daughter of Ron and Mindy Griffith.

The Saints won homecoming, taming the Owls 34-8 following a second half explosion by the Saint offense.
