New Volunteer Fire Fighters
Aaron Meadows fire

Over the weekend, the DeKalb County Fire Department had five members complete their Introduction to Fire and Emergency Services class taught by Lieutenant Andrew Harvey. This 16-hour class is the first step recruits must take to become firefighters. Participants gained basic knowledge in the fire service, reviewed the department SOGs, and even got to practice running through an obstacle course.

“We are so proud of our new members and are looking forward to them becoming our newest, certified firefighters!” Pictured, from left, are Lt. Andrew Harvey, Aaron Meadows, Kari Patrick, Hayden Lawson, Braden Martin and Jimmy Martin.
