On Friday and Saturday evening, Loyal Dawg Rescue and the DeKalb Animal Shelter held a special two-night fundraising event with performances of an original play ‘A Night of Haunted Tails’ written and directed by John Hillard.

The play included a collection of spooky tales, haunted nursery rhymes, along with original scary songs and dances all performed by a cast of spooky skeletons, a witch, and a cute rabbit character named Animal Lecter along with two wonderful dogs Hunter and Rudy. The cast of characters included Crede Colgan, John Hillard, Sarah Crips, Renee Furguson, Angel Keen, Logan Campbell, Zachary Hutchison, Ben Felton, Carina Lundberg with a special appearance by Ashley Renee Scott from Los Angeles. Makeup artist Willow Walker did a great job getting the performers ready.

One hundred percent of the ticket sales and proceeds went directly to help the dogs and cats of DeKalb County’s own Loyal Dawg Rescue and the DeKalb Animal Shelter. Rudy the dog is one of a number of great dogs available for adoption looking for his special Furever Home.
