Frank Herndon, Jefferson County Clerk serving as President of the Tennessee State Association of County Clerks (TSACC) has appointed DeKalb County Clerk James L. (Jimmy) Poss to serve a one-year term on the board of directors of the County Officials Association of Tennessee (COAT).
As a board member, Mr. Poss will serve alongside other County Clerks, Register of Deeds, Trustees, and Court Clerks from across the state to govern the organization’s daily activities.
Mr. Poss was selected because of his dedication and the integrity he has shown both as a member of COAT and to the citizens of DeKalb County as their County Clerk. In addition to serving as a board member, Mr. Poss will also serve the TSACC as Chairman of the Motor Vehicle Committee as well as serving on their Legislative, Business Tax, and TWRA Committees.
Herndon said “We are thankful for Clerk’s like Jimmy who put forth extra time and attention to serving our association in addition to their regular daily office duties to improve our offices and the lives of citizens across our great state.”
