DeKalb County local option sales tax collections for September 2021 was up over the previous year, collecting $164,809 in September 2021, compared to $138,476 for September 2020. That is up over $26,000 according to the Tennessee Department of Revenue. Overall, the county and cities’ combined collections increased by more than $42,000.
Smithville brought in $318,877 in September, 2021, up from $309,782 in 2020. The Town of Alexandria collected $30,394 in September, 2021, compared to $28,890 the same time in 2020. Dowelltown sales tax collections were $2,678 in September, 2021, up from $2,251 in 2020, while Liberty collected $10,581 in September, up from $5,812 in 2020.
The overall net collections were $527,341 in September, 2021, up from $485,214 in September, 2020. September sales tax collections reflect previous month activity.
