Several people were sentenced last week after pleading guilty to charges in DeKalb Criminal Court.
On January 28, 2020, 38-year-old Crystal Baker was charged with three counts of simple possession of a schedule II drug and simple possession of a schedule VI drug. She plead guilty to one count of simple possession of a schedule II drug hydrocodone and one count of simple possession of a schedule IV drug. She was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days all suspended to supervised probation.
On August 8, 2020, 24-year-old Krisann R. Garmer plead guilty to attempting to file a false report. She was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days supervised probation with judicial diversion.
According to police Garmer filed a false report when she reported having been sexually assaulted. An investigation determined that the contact between Garmer and the other party was consensual and that she had reported the assault to keep her boyfriend from finding out about the relationship.
Hope Lachenauer, 29, plead guilty to theft under $1,000 for an offence that occurred on November 24, 2019. She was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days all suspended to six months supervised probation and six months good behavior.
Sebrina Ann Lattimore, 42, plead guilty to one of two counts of sale or delivery of a schedule II drug. She was sentenced to four years all suspended to supervised probation and credit for time served, plus a $2,000 fine and court costs.
John Lanny Nelson Jr., 29, plead guilty to DUI first offense, and received a sentence of 11 months, 29 days suspended to supervised probation except 48 hours to serve. He must also pay a $350 fine.
Stephen Brandon Pirtle, 37, plead guilty to DUI first offense, and received a sentence of 11 months, 29 days suspended to supervised probation except 48 hours to serve. He must also pay a $350 fine.
Sean Austin, 21, plead guilty to two counts of domestic assault on charges from two separate occasions, one on April 25, 2021, and the other on November 10, 2021. He was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days suspended to on good behavior.
Carla Jean Ray, 40, plead guilty to one of two charges from May 2019 of sale and delivery of a schedule II drug. She was sentenced to three years supervised probation, a $2,000 fine and received judicial diversion.
Sherri Francine Gunter, 39, plead guilty to one of two charges from June 2019 of sale and delivery of a schedule II drug. She received six years supervised probation and a $2,000 fine.
Tawanna Ann Evans, 41, plead guilty to an April 2019 charge of sale and delivery of a schedule II drug under .5 grams. She received four years supervised probation, court costs, a $2,000 fine, and $160 to DCSD.
Jessica Lee Steinbach, 44, plead guilty to one of two counts of Auto Burglary, and one of two counts of theft of property, under $2,500. She received two years suspended probation for the burglary charge, and one year suspended sentence on the theft charge.
Amanda Hamilton, 53, faced a charge of DUI second offense, and introduction of contraband into a penal facility. She plead down to DUI first offense, receiving 11 months, 29 days all suspended to supervised probation except 48 hours to serve, a $350 fine, and loss of her driver’s license for one year. The other charge was plead tp simple possession, receiving 11 months, 29 days all suspended to probation with a $750 fine.
