Charles Anthony Long, 34, of LaVergne was arrested on Sept. 4 for DUI. Police were helping Long to pick up a motorcycle that was laying in the middle of the road on Anthony Ave., and while helping, the officer could smell an odor of alcohol on his person and observed him to be unsteady on his feet. The officer requested Long to perform field sobriety tasks to which he refused three times. Bond: 1500.00 GS: 9/24/20

Shasta Nicole Phillips, 37, of 429 Morgan Dr. and Arturo Alfaro Munoz, 42, of 1279 S. Mountain St were arrested on Sept. 5 for Domestic Assault. Police responded to Morgan Dr in reference of a domestic assault in progress. Upon arrival, officers spoke with Phillips and Munoz who had been fighting all day. Both parties had injuries and the primary aggressor could not be determined at which time both parties were taken into custody. Bond: 2500.00 each GS: 9/24/20

On Sept. 5 Regina Teresa Thomas of 670 Miller Rd was cited for Trespassing. Thomas was found to be at 533 Frazier St after officers with the Smithville Police Department advised her not to be on the property. GS: 9/24/20

On Sept. 8 Micheal Lynn Vance of 625 Highland St was cited for Trespassing. Vance was found to be on the property of 625 Highland St after being given notice and served with a Trespassing notice on 7/24/20 by officer of the police department. GS: 10/8/20

On Sept. 9 William Ryan Layne, 33, of Cookeville was cited for Theft of Property under $1000.00. On Sept. 8, Layne can be seen on cameras taking a wallet with $700 inside found at On the Way Market. Upon investigation, Detectives made contact with Layne and recovered the wallet with $267.00 missing and return the property to the victim. GS: 9/24/20

Ryan Nicole Sweat, 21, of 1523 Jefferson Rd was arrested on Sept. 13 for DUI. Police were dispatch to the area of Mapco for a vehicle crash. Upon arrival, the officer was advised that the parties had left headed down Sparta Hwy. The officer located a vehicle matching the description given and observed it to cross the white line. The officer then made contact with the driver, found to be Sweat and could smell an odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle. Upon investigation it was discovered that Sweat had been drinking before leaving Twisted Oaks and had been involved in an accident and leaving the scene. Bond: 1500.00 GS: 9/24/20

Marcus Justin Jones, 31, of Woodbury was cited on Sept. 14 for Light Law, Financial Responsibility, Misuse of Registration, and Drug Paraphernalia. Upon conducting a traffic stop, the officer discovered that Jones didn’t have auto insurance, the tag on the vehicle belonged to someone else and while talking to Jones outside the vehicle, a glass pipe used for methamphetamine fell from his pocket. GS: 10/10/20

Steven Ray Foster, III, 28, of 920 S. Mountain St Lot 12 was arrested for Aggravated Burglary, Theft over $1000 and cited for Theft of Property x 2. On Sept. 4 and Sept. 9, Foster can be seen on camera taking items from Wal-Mart and leaving the store without paying for them. Then on Sept. 13 he did enter a residence at 920 S. Mountain St without consent from the victims and proceeded to take several items from the home without their permission or consent. Bond: 8000.00 GS: 10/1/20

On Sept. 22 Jimmy Layne Estes, 44, of 468 Old Snow Hill Rd was cited for Criminal Trespassing. While on routine patrol, police observed Estes on the property of 627 Highland St. Estes was issued a trespass warning on 7/9/20 to stay of the Smithville Housing Authority property. GS: 11/12/20

On Sept. 23 Eva Louis Dover, 51, of 3205 Nashville Hwy was cited for Simple Possession x3. Dover was arrested for a Failure to Appear. Upon search incident to arrest, a search of her purse revealed a pill bottle belonging to another person with 33 blue oblong pills believed to be Xanax, a green round pill believed to be Oxymorphone, and a white oblong pill believed to be Oxycodone. Dover couldn’t provide a prescription for the medication. GS: 10/22/20
