The Smithville Police Department arrested three people last week after a search warrant was executed, leading to several drug charges.

According to Smithville Police Chief Mark Collins on Monday, March 3, 25-year-old Robert Stephen Ryan Derrick of 600 East Broad Street (The Rama Inn), 36-year-old Savannah Elizabeth Mae Derrick of 639 Crestlawn Avenue, and 37-year-old Landon Craig Wyatt of 249 Toad Road were charged in the case.

Chief Collins said that a search warrant was served at The Rama Inn, and during the search found one a half pounds of a crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine, along with scales, plastic baggies, and other drug paraphernalia items. Authorities say that both Robert and Savannah Derrick were out on parole.

Robert Derrick was charged with sale and delivery of a schedule II drug with a $150,000 bond, while Savannah Derrick was arrested for simple possession of Fentanyl with a $25,000 bond. Wyatt is charged with simple possession of methamphetamine and is under a $50,000 bond. All will appear in court on March 30.
