Some lucky visitors to the Smithville Fiddlers’ Jamboree and Crafts Festival were honored last Friday afternoon, recognized as traveling the farthest in the state, country, and the world. Congressman John Rose’s Chief of Staff Van Hilleary, State Senator Janice Bowling, and State Representative Michael Hale presented Tennessee and United States flags to the visitors.

Hilleary presented Katie Rowe and Amina Deiab of Emonton Alberta Canada with a flag, while State Senator Bowling presented a flag to Jeremiah Ledda of Los Angeles California, retired from the US Navy. State Representative Hale presented a flag for Roger Wolfe of Memphis for traveling farthest in the state.
