During last week’s heavy rain, several wrecks occurred including this one in Dowelltown. Justus Tramel, 19, of Alexandria lost control of his 1999 Ford F-150 and went off the right side of the road. The truck hit a natural gas line, utility pole and tree. Trooper Bobby Johnson of the Tennessee Highway Patrol said Tramel was cited for failure to exercise due care. Along with Trooper Johnson, others on the scene were DeKalb EMS, Sheriff’s Department, and the Liberty Station of the DeKalb County Volunteer Fire Department.
