Truck vs. House, House Wins
Wreck

A man had a close call last week after he lost control of the truck he was driving and slammed into the side of a house. He received only minor injuries.

The incident took place on Thursday, December 16, at 7:40 a.m., when 44-year-old Jason R. McFall was traveling west on State Route 83 [Allen Ferry Road] in a Silver 2010 Toyota Tacoma.  According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, McFall ran off the right side of roadway, traveled through a front lawn across two gravel driveways, and struck a foundation wall of the home located at 415 Allen Ferry Road.

The DeKalb County Volunteer Fire Department’s rescue squad, along with Cookeville Highway Engine 61, DeKalb EMS and deputies with the DeKalb Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene.

Authorities say that McFall was trapped in the vehicle, and had to be extricated from the crash.  Mr. McFall was charged with miscellaneous traffic offenses and was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the incident.
