The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department made several arrests over the past couple of weeks, including a couple arrested on meth and marijuana charges.

According to Sheriff Patrick Ray, 48-year-old Charles Edward White Jr. of Johnson’s Chapel Road, Sparta, was arrested on May 12, for methamphetamine manufacture deliver sale or possess and marijuana for sale and delivery. He is under a $250,000 bond and is due to appear in court on May 26, 2022.

Also arrested at the scene was White’s girlfriend, 34-year-old Tiffany Jeanette Ford of South Carter Street, Sparta. She is also charged with methamphetamine manufacture deliver sale or possess and marijuana for sale and delivery.

A search warrant was executed at the home of White at 295 Johnson’s Chapel Road, where authorities say they found 18.42 grams of meth, along with various baggies and other paraphernalia. Under the hood of a vehicle, an estimated 33.1 grams of marijuana was also located.

On May 14, 51-year-old Tisha Elaine Burns of Miller Road, Smithville, was arrested on a fugitive from justice warrant. She is under a $50,000 bond and is due in court on May 26.

Sheriff Ray said that a deputy made contact with Burns at Dry Creek Road, and after running her name through Central Dispatch it was learned that she was wanted out of York County, Virginia, for a probation violation.

The following day, 50-year-old Christopher Bryan Pack, Sr. of Oak Place Drive, Smithville, was arrested for evading arrest. He is under a $2,000 bond and he is set to appear in court on May 26.

Sheriff Ray reported that on May 7, Pack intentionally fled on foot to elude arrest by law enforcement. While on the scene of a police call, a deputy made contact with Pack, who gave the deputy his name and a false date of birth during an investigation. After giving his information, Pack went inside a store and then fled on foot through the back door.

Authorities say that Pack had an active warrant for his arrest out of DeKalb County for failure to appear, which is believed to be the reason he fled the scene.

On May 16, 42-year-old Jessie Comer Harris of Possum Hollow Road, Dowelltown, was charged with aggravated stalking. He is under a $10,000 bond and will appear in court on May 26.

On May 15, Harris allegedly showed up at a residence multiple times demanding oral sex from a 17-year-old juvenile victim. Law enforcement was called each time.

The day before, deputies had been called to DeKalb Market due to Harris harassing the same victim at that location. The victim stated that the harassment has occurred over a period of two weeks.

On May 16, 44-year-old Herman Floyd Wilson Jr. of Park Drive, Rock Island, TN, was arrested for violation of an order of protection and violation of bond conditions. He is under a $7,000 bond and is due in court on June 2.

A deputy responded to Ragland Bottoms for a call of a possible domestic. Upon arrival, and speaking to all parties, it was determined through an NCIC check through Central Dispatch that Wilson was not to be near a male subject per an order of protection entered on April 27, 2022.

Wilson also allegedly violated bond conditions issued in White County, not to be near a female subject that was also on the scene.

On May 22, 36-year-old Eric James Cox of Oakley Road, Liberty, was charged with public intoxication. He is under a $1,000 bond and is due to appear in court on June 9.

A deputy was dispatched to Toad Road for a report of a male subject beating on a door of a residence, yelling a cursing through the doorway. The deputy made contact with Cox, who was allegedly heavily intoxicated and irate, standing in the driveway. He was taken into custody at the scene.
