The victim of a Christmas Eve fire has been identified as Garrett Randell Duggin, 36, of McMinnville.

Duggin, who was living in a shed on a property on Talley Road in Smithville, perished in a fire which was determined to be an accident.

Emergency responders received the call at approximately 9:15 p.m. and the structure was fully engulfed and had collapsed. Crews were able to bring the blaze under control but the adjacent home received extensive damage.

He was a welder at Smithport Cabinetry and member of the Baptist Church, was married and had three children.
