WCTE PBS Presents a Free Back-To-School Bash
Gilley Pool

WCTE PBS invites families to attend its back-to-school pool party at the Gilley Pool in McMinnville. This year’s event will take place on Wednesday, July 31 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. An annual tradition for WCTE, this event promises several fun activities, a free book giveaway, free popsicles, and free entrance to the pool for all children 12 and under.

PBS KIDS booths will be set up in the green space just outside the pool entrance, and children who visit will be given a free ticket to get in and enjoy a day at the pool. Inside, families will find even more free fun, as Ben Lomand representatives will offer games, prizes, and popsicles. The Gilley Pool features a zero-entry area with spray cannons and a water slide for children and adults.

“We extend a huge thank you to our sponsor, Ben Lomand,” says Sarah Savage, coordinator of the pool party. “Their continued partnership and support make this beloved event possible, and we’re so excited about all of the fun activities we have to offer. We also want to thank McMinnville Parks and Recreation. We love that we are able to provide these free events for the community, and hope we get a big turnout this year!”

The Gilley Pool is located at 500 Garfield St., in McMinnville. More information is available at wcte.org or by calling WCTE at 931-528-2222.
