UCDD offers relative caregiver, housing assistance. Are you raising a relative child or need housing assistance? For more information on assistance and support, please contact Melissa Allison at the Upper Cumberland Development District toll-free at 1-877-275-8233.  A support group meeting will be held for relatives that are caring for relative children during the month of March 2021. Easter egg Hunt, April 3

AMvets Ladies Auxillary is having a Easter egg hunt, Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Greenbrook park. This will be from 10 a.m. till noon for children ages 0-13. Bring your children and have fun. This will be a shelter 2.

 

 

Easter in the park, April 4

Smithville Church of God presents Easter in the park at Green Brook Park on April 4, 2021 registration begins at 10:30 a.m. and worship begins at 11 a.m.  There will be an egg hunt, ax-knife throwing, blow ups, food and much more. This

free and seating is provided or bring your own chair.

 

DCHS Project Graduation Car, Truck, and Motorcycle Show, April 3

A car, truck, and motorcycle show will be held to benefit the DCHS Class of 2021 Project Graduation event on Saturday, April 3 from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. at DeKalb County High School. All funds raised will go to Project Graduation, an all-night drug-free, alcohol-free graduation party for members of the DCHS Class of 2021 committed to having a safe, wholesome, yet entertaining celebration together for the last time as a class. This year’s event will be held at the County Complex. The show will feature top 25 People’s Choice Awards, Best of Show, the DCHS Class of 2021 Seniors Pick, and Most Unique Pick. There will be more than 40 vendors and plenty of food, face painting, plus much more including a DJ. Vendors must sign up by March 29. Will meet on Wednesday, April 7, 2021, in the UT Extension Room at the County Complex. We will observe social distancing and request that everyone attending please wear masks. We are looking forward to seeing everyone.

Sobriety Checkpoints, April 9

The Tennessee Highway Patrol will be conducting a Sobriety Checkpoint on April 9, 2021 on State Route 56 in DeKalb County.

 

Meeting Banks Cemetery, April 10

The annual meeting for Banks Cemetery in DeKalb County will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Banks Cumberland Presbyterian Church. All parties interested in the cemetery are invited to attend.

The L.B.J. & C. Development Corporation Board of Director’s will hold their bi-monthly meeting Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at the L.B.J. & C. Development Corporation, 1150 Chocolate Drive, Cookeville, Tennessee. The meeting will begin at 6 p.m.

 

UCHRA

The Upper Cumberland Human Resource Agency will hold a commodities distribution for DeKalb County on Thursday, April 29, 2021 from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the DeKalb County UCHRA office. Sign up will be available at the distribution site.
