Princes Dream Day

The Second Annual Princess Dream Day will be held Saturday, March 15, 2025 from 9:30am- noon. The event is a fundraiser for the Last Minute Toy Shop and will be held at the DeKalb County Auditorium. Tickets are $25 per child ages three years-old to 11. Each child will receive a Princess sash, wand and tiara along with hair styles, makeup and nails. They will enjoy a light snack and sing-a-long with the princesses. A meet and greet along with photo-op will be held after the sing-a-long. Tickets are limited to 175, so get yours now instead of hoping there will be some at the door the day of the event. UDC Meeting

The United Daughters of the Confederacy, Captain Sally Tompkins 2123 will have its monthly meeting Friday, March 7, 2025 at 1:00 in the lower level of the Putnam County Library. 

 

Men’s Conference

Allen’s Chapel Church will be hosting its first Kingdom Driven Men’s Conference on Saturday, March 15. Join us for food, fellowship, praise and digging into what God has called us men to be. All men are invited to this FREE event on March 15 from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Allen’s Chapel located at 1037 Coconut Ridge Road in Smithville. “Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.” I Corinthians 16:13.

 

 

FCE Meetings

The FCE will be meeting the 2nd Tuesday of each month. The meeting will be held at 10 a.m. at the DeKalb County Complex in the Motlow Conference room. Everyone is invited to attend.

Are you raising a relative child or need housing assistance? For more information on assistance and support, please contact Melissa Allison at the Upper Cumberland Development District toll-free at 1-800-275-8233. A support group meeting will be held for relatives caring for relative children during the month. Please contact Melissa Allison at 931-476-4127. If you are interested in attending this meeting. For housing assistance, while caring for a minor child, please contact Myra Walker.

 

Veterans Service Officer Ready To Assist

Are you a veteran in need of assistance? DeKalb County has a Veteran’s Service Officer ready to help you, not only with filing claims, but for conversations about your service. Officer Erica Degni is located on the first floor of the DeKalb County Courthouse and is ready to offer assistance. She is available for in-office visits each Tuesday and Thursday or can be reached by calling 615-597-3003. DeKalb County appreciates the service of all veterans and is proud to provide this

Service.

 

LBJ&C

Head Start is currently accepting applications to provide free comprehensive child development services to children 3-5 years of age for all children including children with disabilities in a full day program.
