A peaceful evening on the patio

Earl David Ferrell, age 70, passed away on Tuesday, October 8,
2024.  We extend our condolences to David's family at this sad time in
the loss of their dear loved one.  David's parents were the late Joe
Brown Ferrell and Sudie Nadine Ferrell.  Please keep the Ferrell
family in your prayers.
I want to extend a "belated" happy birthday to Marie Ford on her
90th birthday.  Quite a wonderful lady.  Hope your special day was the
best one ever, Love Carol.
Since our weather has gone crazy with this climate change that
we are experiencing, I wonder if it will be an earlier winter season
that will engulf us with colder temperatures and more snowfall.  We'll
just, of course, have to wait, watch and be prepared ahead of time to
not be caught off guard.  Stock up on what you would need in case the
weather gets even more bizarre.  We are going to have two nights of
frost this week and we might have a freeze warning one night thrown in
the mix.  Bringing in plants and covering others will hopefully save
them a little bit longer for us to enjoy as the weather will be
getting warmer later on in the week.
Talked with Burley Bogle last Thursday.  He's been sickly for
several days and not getting out much so keep Burley in your prayers.
I know he would appreciate it.
My neighbor Randy is mowing his yard this evening and I'm loving
the smell of those wild onions.  It's been a peaceful evening on the
patio, calling people to see how they are fairing these days.  Tony
and Tracy Neal are doing better I'm glad to report.  I was able to
talk with Martha Parker today and all is well with she and Betty
Barnes, now widely known as "Thelma and Louise."  Glad to say fortune
and fame have not changed them one bit.  Ruth Brown and son, Jeff,
were coming back home from Murfreesboro this Thursday evening.  They
were doing o.k.  I have to kid around with Donna Prater as she loves
to talk (that applies to me, also) and is so much fun to be around.
She's doing fine.
Half the month of October is behind us now.  Stores are stocking
their shelves with Christmas items to dazzle us.  Seems like each year
they jump the gun enticing us a month or two before the big event be
it Halloween or Christmas.
Please keep praying for the following people:  Dustin Johnson,
Junior Melton, Mary Melton, Diane Evans, Walter and Faye Ferrell, Rose
Watts, the people of Israel and Ukraine, the people that have lost
loved ones from hurricanes Helene and Milton, and the leaders of our
country.
Our country is in terrible shape.  Only God can turn us around
and get us on the right track.  We've gotten away from acknowledging
God and being in reverence to Him for how great He is.  I believe
Jesus is coming back soon.  Have you ever seen this nation in the mess
that it is in now?  Wickedness abounds anywhere you look.  There are
those that want to destroy us just like they want to destroy Israel.
Our only hope for survival is to ask God for forgiveness.  Don't be
fooled thinking that our way of life and the freedom we enjoy can't be
gone in a heartbeat.  So many people are in their own little world and
not thinking about the hereafter and what will happen to them if they
do not accept Jesus Christ as their Savior.  This world gives you
nothing.  Jesus will give you everything.
      Have a great day!
The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God,
my strength, in whom I will trust.  Psalm 18:2
