Smithville native, Mrs. Eleanor Snow Burns, celebrated her 80th birthday May 21st at the Inn at Evins Mill surrounded by friends and family.
Eleanor is the daughter of Bob and Virgie Snow, both deceased. Eleanor was married to Hugh Burns (deceased) for 47 years. Hugh retired from the John H. Harland Company in Atlanta but began his printing career at the Smithville Review.
Eleanor and Hugh enjoyed a happy and loving marriage that included many years of global travel together.
In attendance were her son Terrence and his wife Dani of Atlanta; her granddaughter Anna Burns of Brooklyn, NY; her sister Joanna Moore of Smithville, her brother Edgar Snow of Knoxville, sister Mary Morgan of Cookeville, TN; sister-in-law Mary Snow of Smithville (wife of Robert Snow, deceased); nieces Brenda Puckett, Deborah Magness and husband Kenneth, Joyce Poss and husband Jimmy, Denise Rutland, Mary Beth Treadway and husband Robin, Yolanda Barry and husband Tom, Rhonda Phillipi and husband Russ, Jeanna Bain; nephews Jerry Poss and wife Geneva, Harry Poss and wife Regina, Butch Snow, Dwain Snow and wife Cathy. Clarene Hendrixson of Smithville also attended.
