It's a beautiful Saturday in the middle to upper seventies for a
high. We need to take advantage of days like this for sure. Nothing
more refreshing than the country air to take in and enjoy. As I've
said before, weather this nice will only be around for a little bit
longer. Flowers are winding down as they do this time of the year.
They sure were beautiful while they lasted. I've been cutting back
bushes as well as my flowers. Got to get some spray painting done to
several concrete items around here while the weather is so inviting.
Read locally of a tragedy that happened in Warren County. A
husband and wife succumbed to injuries when they collided with a farm
tractor while riding their motorcycle. The husband was 55 years old.
His wife was 50. I'm so sorry for this family and what they must be
going through. We never know what can happen to us when we leave
home. Being ready to meet your maker is something we all should be
prepared for if we die.
Daughter Kristie and I were out traveling this past Wednesday.
It was a very enjoyable day. She likes this nice weather, too, like
me, but wishes we could start getting some decent rainfall.
Let's keep the following people in prayer: Dustin Johnson,
Junior Melton, Mary Melton, Diane Evans, Walter and Faye Ferrell, Rose
Watts, the people of Israel and Ukraine, the leaders of this country,
the families that lost loved ones from hurricanes Helene and Milton,
and the family of Earl David Ferrell in the loss of their loved one.
We have some November birthdays that will be coming up shortly:
Don Nixon 2nd, Lacy Wheeler 7th, B.J. Warren 17th (my nephew), Lori
Ramires 23rd (my niece), Brittany Little 24th (our granddaughter),
Brian Hullett 25th and Eddena Hale 30th. November wedding
anniversaries Ralph and Debby Harvey 21st, and Walter and Faye Ferrell
23rd. Congratulations to all of you.
Tuesday evening, I got to chat with Mai Nell Melton. She was
doing well. I called Gracie Bratcher that day also. She was going to
get outside on the porch with her friend Judy and enjoy the beautiful
evening. Ann Warren and her family are doing okay. Ruth Brown and I
catching up on some news when she called last week. Her family is
doing some better. We are so grateful and counting our blessings from
God when our family members and friends are well aren't we?
This world, it seems, is changing everyday by leaps and bounds.
Israel's enemies wanting to wipe Israel off the face of the earth.
That will never happen because they are God's chosen people. We need
to keep praying for Israel and also Ukraine. Those college students
that are protesting against Israel would not be allowed to do that in
other countries. They would be beheaded, limbs cut off and die a
horrendous death. Supporting Israel and Ukraine, we must keep doing.
God has said in His holy word, the Bible, those that curse Israel, He
will curse. I love God but yet I fear Him. He is awesome and
Almighty. He is our redeemer.
Friends stopping by this week were Rick and Beverly Hubler,
Russell Taylor, Connie Cantrell and Rex Pedigo.
November is just around the corner. I get to thinking about the
Thanksgiving meal that is absolutely just to die for with all those
tempting foods to sample. Overeating is my specialty on that day. I
become somewhat miserable and am rubbing my belly and saying I cannot
eat anymore. Well, that thought doesn't last very long as I'm back at
that table for seconds. If you've never done that, you're a much
stronger-willed person than me. Before you partake of this wonderful
meal, give thanks to God for the bounty of food He has provided for
you and your loved ones and enjoy the time you are spending with them.
After all, we are not guaranteed tomorrow, so make those precious
memories on that day with those you love that will last a lifetime.
Have a great day!
I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the
Father, but by me. John 14:6
Enjoy the fresh air
