MANNERS FOR THE WEEK: You must now know how obsessed I am with correct manners. I have found that it has become an overlooked and mostly unused practice today. During my growing years, we were taught manners as a prerequisite to leaving home at age 18. For this week’s manner, “Respect others by listening to them intently, respecting their personal space, and avoid interrupting others.”
ANGIE’S BIBLE VERSE OF THE WEEK: “We brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.” (1 Timothy 6:7)
BRADY’S SHENANIGANS: My favorite little buddy began this daily habit when he joined me at the Webb House more than four years ago. I bought him a small, indoor “Welcome Home” fabric dog house from Amazon. This was not taught – but an ingrained behavior. Whenever I leave my room, he crawls into his little covered hideout and waits there until I return. It doesn’t matter if I’m away for five minutes or for five hours. Always, the welcome home is filled to overflowing with love, play, and laughter. A few treats are also thrown in for good behavior!
WEEKLY LUCY UPDATE: I can report this week that Lucy is feeling lots better and not enjoying the recent rash of severe weather.
UNTIL NEXT WEEK – Be nice!
