Lots of rain on the mountain

Another precious soul has winged its way to heaven as Carlon Melton age 77 passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at NHC in Smithville. Carlon had been in a lot of pain and had been suffering for a long time. Of course, now he’s in the presence of Jesus and no longer is in any pain but basking in his heavenly home. Please uplift Mai Nell and the family in your prayers at the loss of their dear loved one.

Also, others we need to keep in prayer: Bernie Braswell, Edna Hooper (Edna was able to be in church Sunday), Charlie Mai Daniel, Bill Nokes, Alene Ferrell, and Donna Lawson.

All week long, that mountain full of trees behind our house has been getting greener as each day unveils its beauty. A lovely sight to cast your eyes upon and realize the view is only going to get lovelier as time goes by. Everyone has got to be feeling so much better as hopefully this winter weather will be coming down to a close shortly. We got 1 1/2 inches of rain around here Saturday night into Sunday. Weather down right cold after the rain has moved out. Freeze warnings Monday and Tuesday mornings for us. After this cold snap, I’m praying for more comfortable temperatures to prevail and stay. Seems like this is the winter that doesn’t want to end.

Have a great day!

Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and he be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophet which were before you. Matthew 5:11, 12
