Bro. Jonathan Willoughby, pastor of Mt. Herman Baptist Church, and his family were sick with the flu Feb. 1. Bro. David Mahan filled in for him at church, and he did a good job.

Billie Simpson attended her great-great- grandson, Adam Hicks, fifth birthday party Saturday evening at his home. His mother gave it for him, Stacie Wood and several family and friends attended to help him celebrate. All had a good time.

I received a call from my cousin Verna Miller from Detroit, Michigan. She is improving some. She is still in the rehab center doing therapy. She said a big snow is on the ground, and it’s still snowing.
Mary McKnight visited Barbara Self. She is a good neighbor. She and her husband are always helping Mary when she needs help.
Trent Hawkins had a birthday on Feb. 1. His parents, Don and Treba Hawkins, took him and Michelle out for supper on Saturday evening. Guest of Don and Treba Hawkins for supper Monday were Trent and Michelle, Shane and Brittany, and Chloe Miller. They helped Trent celebrate his birthday.
Treba Hawkins spent Monday with Audean and Ernest Pack at Jefferson.
Nickolas Daw celebrated his seventh birthday with a party at Bowling World. Lots of his friends and family attended, including Maddie Tobbit, Cooper Goddwin, Raylie and Lou Cowan, Jamison Hooper, Aiden Taylor, Jon Hendrix, Heaven, Debbie and Leslie Peace, Kalvin and Levi Peace, Noel and William Dowling, and Larry Daw, along with many parents. Everyone had a good time. Nickolas is the son of Artie and Regina Daw.
