It's Monday, January 6th and we have terribly cold temperatures up here on the mountain.  Only a slight dusting of snow this morning. For the most part we're glad of that, but I know the school kids were hoping for a ton of the white stuff.  It was always joy unspeakable
when I was growing up and we got several inches of snow because we knew we wouldn't have to go to school for probably a week.  Friday of this week we may get some accumulating snow that will be staying a while because of the cold conditions that have us in its grip.

Gracie Bratcher and Mai Nell Melton have been taking it easy and staying in as much as possible...just like me.  Rick and Beverly Hubler are doing well.  Also, Ann Warren and her family are o.k.  Ruth Brown and son, Jeff, I'm glad to report are just fine, as well.
     

Flu and covid are hitting a lot of people.  Respiratory illnesses are still abounding in a lot of places, also.  I'm also still hearing about that stomach bug going around.  The winter season brings on quite a variety of sicknesses besides the cold, cold temperatures.
     

Haven't heard as much in the news about those drones flying about.  Oh, I'm sure they are still out there.  They are real and not like the so-called stories/rumors of aliens that are living among us. Some people still believe in the "little green men" and how the government isn't giving us all the facts about them.  I, myself, have talked with at least two people and how scared one of them was that actually witnessed a little green man going into our dad's (Mr. Jake Warren's) tobacco patch decades ago.  That person never wavered on what he told me.  He said, "the little guy was around three feet tall with a bald head and green in color."  Clyde could never tell me what he saw in his back yard walking around when he came out on his deck at night.  He did say "they were scary-looking."  I wonder what they thought of Clyde?  The guy that told of the little alien going into the tobacco patch was my brother, J.L. that is no longer with us but is with Jesus now.
    

I've heard different stories about the sighting and there being two aliens, not just one, walking about that night in front of our daddy's store.  Does it really matter how many little green men there were roaming about that hot summer night?  If they were around back then (decades ago) couldn't they still be around today?  I bet "Columbo" could solve this mystery, don't you?

We have some people that are in need of prayer:  Dustin Johnson, Mary Melton, Diane Evans, Walter and Faye Ferrell, Rose Watts, the people of Israel and Ukraine, the leaders of our country, and the family of James Cooper.

I do believe some people in this country have lost their minds. The CEO of United Health Care was shot in the back as he was going to his business a few weeks ago.  He died at the scene by this cowardly act.  Some people are actually trying to help this killer by raising money for his legal fees.  The gallows, in my opinion, or the gas chamber would be a good ending to this story and him.  There are things in our life that we may not like but you don't kill someone over it.  Supposedly this guy didn't like the healthcare system.
