An estimated number of 100 or more attended the special Labor Day Celebration at Dry Creek Baptist Church. Everyone enjoyed the hot dogs, home-made ice creams and cakes. The men had the job of making a home-made cake in hopes of winning the blue ribbon. Bobby Robinson, our music director, decorated his cake with musical note. Many of the men participated and all won blue ribbons for their efforts. The following were some of the names of the men that participated with their cake type: Jimmy Kimbrell (Coconut), Danny Agee (Orange Slice), Jimmy Midgett (Chocolate), Edward Frazier (Spice), Bobby Robinson (Butter Pecan), Doug Cooper (Pineapple), Ray David Hare (Orange), Bill and Landon Roecher (Chocolate) and Reggie Miller (Butter Cake) Everyone enjoyed the friendly competition.
