Children’s book author and illustrator, Shan Williams, was invited to speak to Mrs. Katie Emerton’s Class of Smithville Elementary to help them celebrate Read Across America Week. Williams brought books and gifts for each student from her best-selling ‘Tales From A Duck Named Quacker” series and merchandise line. She also taught the children how to draw, and showed them how a book is created from start to finish.
