It’s canning time in the Dry Creek valley, three day pickle, zucchini bread, and butter pickles, green beans will soon be ready to can.

We have been so blessed with beautiful gardens. The Hendrix (Jared and Kathy) is outstanding in the field below Jared’s house.

Today we are going to write about Clematis, the wild flower of Tennessee. We often call it the passion flower. In June issue of Better Homes and Gardens it gives a good description of the Clematis, the names, color and height. Your writer has the number six and number 4. More on the Clematis, it is one of a group of heredity perennials and vines that belong to the Butter-Cup family. The common name is Virgin’s Bower, climbs as high as 10 feet and flower six inches across.

Father’s Day was celebrated at Dry Creek Baptist Church. All fathers received a gift. A special offering was taken for Tennessee Baptist Adult Home.

The Passion flower grows wild in the Dry Creek valley. Look for it when visiting the valley.
