Last week was a busy week with the First Methodist yard sale, the Storytelling Festival, auto accidents and friends injured.
The Storytelling Festival was held on Saturday at the Community Complex with 14 storytellers. A big thanks to Susan Hinton and Dot Tittsworth for spearheading this annual event. Next year the festival will be held on April 10 with help from the local study club.
Sympathy to the families of Buddy Judkins, Pat Keith and my Aunt Irene Lockhart in Nashville. I was invited to present a eulogy for her on Monday at Phillips Robinson Funeral Home.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful mothers and grandmother who have a daily task.
Get-well wishes to: Doyle Smith at Vanderbilt Hospital following an auto accident, suffering falls were Kim Luton, Rose Colwell Dillen, Sara Brown and recently hospitalized Linda Judkins.
Betty Jo Forkner and I represented First Methodist at a retirement dinner and roast at the Wesley Foundation in Cookeville Sunday evening. It was a celbration event for Reverend Bud Alexander, director at Wesley Foundation for 24 years.
No school for pre-schoolers this Friday. The day will be for pre-school registration.
Hope everyone voted.
Amen.
