The last of the Christmas red and green has been put away. We did keep out a few items that have a few red birds and snow on them; they seem to brighten up the room. Our Christmas flowers are still in bloom. Right now there is a beautiful white amarillo and some lilies blooming in my den that are just beautiful to behold.

The birds outside are sure eating up the food in their feeders. We enjoy watching them during the cold days. The deer are also back out in the fields . We think their hunting season may be at an end for them to be back out in the open.

Lately Rosie Young and your writer have spent time going through a couple of boxes of old photos. As we all reflect on 2015 there were some sad times, but the blessings were many. We look forward to 2016. It is hard to believe this year will bring my 99th birthday in July. God has seen us through many days here in this world.

Kathy Hendrix and Lisa Cripps just returned from visiting Carroll and Peggy Thomas in Las Vegas. Josh Thomas, their son, was home for two days of the visit. He has just finished his doctorate in Clinical Psychology and be taking his final exam this summer.

We wish everyone good health and happiness in the New Year.

O God: "I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness" (Jeremiah 31:3). May we come to know you better through Jesus Christ.
