Amy Dawn Keith, age 51, of Smithville passed away Friday, September 2, 2022, in DeKalb County. 

Amy worked in healthcare as a nurse assistant and was a Baptist. 

She was born October 15, 1970 to her parents, the late Phillip Reed Keith and Brenda Maxine Cope Briggs.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Hayes; maternal grandparents, Myrtle Cope West and Haskel Cope; paternal grandparents, Claudie and Carnell Keith. 

She is survived by three children, Brittney Cantrell and Jayme Linn Hayes both of Smithville and Christian Keith Cantrell of Tullahoma; sister, Gina (Jimmy) Lewis of Smithville; half-sister, Ashley Keith of Gainesboro; stepfather, Larry Briggs of Smithville; stepmother, Evelyn Keith of Gainesboro; nieces, Caitlin Anderson and Chelsie McCroskey. 

Funeral service was held Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at the Smithville First Assembly of God with Bro. Donnie Kelly officiating. 

The family asks that donations be made to DeKalb Funeral Chapel to help with funeral expenses. 

DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
