Funeral services for Barbara Ann Baker Colvert, 76, of Dowelltown, were held Oct. 16 at the chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Bro. Thurman Seber and Bro. Bobby Colvert officiated with entombment following at DeKalb Memorial Gardens.   
Mrs. Colvert passed away Oct. 13 at DeKalb Community Hospital. She was one of the founding members of Covenant Baptist Church, a member of Sparta and Smithville Sr. Yoga Clubs, attended the Cassville School and graduated from Sparta High School. She then attended Middle Tenn. State University earning a Masters Degree in Education. Mrs. Colvert was a retired school teacher and was a partner in ownership of Basement Sales. 
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ira Landreth and Velma Louise Hill Baker.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Bobby Colvert, of Dowelltown; two children, John and wife Karen Colvert, of Murfreesboro, and Lou Ann and husband Steve White, of Smithville; six grandchildren, Kelly Colvert and Matt Wiley, Jason Baker Colvert, Grant Ian Colvert, all of Smithville; three great-grandchildren, Kaylin Colvert Wiley, Lyla Dawn Wiley and Piper Ann Wiley, all of Murfreesboro; three brothers and sisters, Betty Herndon, of Smithville, Bill Baker, of Cassville, Mary Louise Fitzgerald, of Lafeyette, Ind.; and a special friend, Glenda Griffin and family, of Dowelltown. 
Pallbearers included Jason Baker Colvert, Josh Kerley, Grant Ian Colvert, Matt Wiley, Kelly Wiley, Camry, Carlee and Chloe White.
Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
