Funeral services for Betty “Dean” King, 73, of McMinnville were held March 13 at Kingdom of Jesus Church with Bro. Glenn Chapman officiating.
Mrs. King passed away March 11 at DeKalb Community Hospital. She was a member of the Pentecostal Kingdom of Jesus Christ and an employee of Texas Boot.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert King; parents Plateau and Minnie Towery; a son-in-law Sherman Johnson; and sisters Alice Reynolds, Teen Towery and Ednar Cook.
Survivors include her two daughters Debbi (Mike) Sloan of North Carolina and Linda Johnson of McMinnville; three sons Larry Jr.(Shelia) Chapman, Jimmy (Tanya) Chapman and Glenn (Kimberley) Chapman, all of McMinnville; a sister Shirley Beam of Cherryville, N.C.; three brothers Coyt Towery of Florida and Richard Towery and Bill Towery, both of North Carolina; 17 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and a step-daughter Rebecca Weathers of North Carolina.
Pallbearers included Jimmy Chapman, Larry Chapman, Tim Proctor, Bradley Wilson, Michael Wilson, Brandon Wilson, Joshua Chapman.
Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville,  was in charge of the arrangements.
