Mrs. Betty Cantrell Hale, age 83 passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at her daughters home in Lebanon.
Betty was born on October 16, 1936 in Smithville to her parents, the late Hamp and Effie Pack Cantrell. Also preceding her in death are four brothers, James “Lucky” Cantrell, Ray Cantrell, Floyd Cantrell, Junior Cantrell; and one sister, Mildred Green. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda (William Harvey) Driver of McComb, MS and Mary Ann Blair of Lebanon; six grandchildren, Misty Macheal (Allen) Turnage of Liberty, MS, E. Dwayne (Mary Ann) Blair of Liberty, Robert Lee Blair Jr. of Lebanon, Maranda Ann (Charles) Coggins of Lebanon, Chad (Tara) Driver and Tammy (Mitchell) Tarpley both of Smithville; nine great grandchildren, Austin Shane (Briana) Ellis of Smithville, Christian Michael Ellis of Smithville, , Samuel Layne Ellis of Liberty, MS, Gaberial Lee Blair of Liberty, Jacob Paul Blair of Liberty, Isaiah Coggins & Eli Coggins both of Lebanon, Caroline Driver and Lilly Cate Driver both of Smithville; sister, Ruth Tabor of Crossville; and two brothers, Buster (Brenda) Cantrell of Woodbury and Larry Kenneth (Anita) Cantrell of Watertown.
Funeral service was held on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at the chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. E. Dwayne Blair officiated with burial following at Salem Cemetery in Liberty.
Serving as pallbearers were W. Dwayne Blair, Robert Blair, Jr., Austin Ellis, Christian Ellis, Samuel Ellis and Charles Coggins.
Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville, was in charge of arrangements.
